If you’ve been working with photography for any long period of time, odds are that you have seen Gilad Benari’s work. Gilad is a photographer from Israel, and he is one of the most recognized photographers on the internet, and also has one of the most viewed portfolios on deviantART of all time.
Gilad’s strength lies in his uncanny ability to compose, frame and capture photographs, even without planning and requiring simply on spontaneity. One of his most known works, “The Fear of God”, was taken during the middle of the night on the streets of Jerusalem, when an old man walked under a streetlight.
Of course, Gilad is also a master of lighting and exposure, and his sunset photographs are highly prized for their beauty. Gilad also has some tricks up his sleeve, including infrared, which is a photography technique not seen much. Gilad has been known to work both with digital and traditional film.
Self described as a conceptual artist, Gilad’s photography serves as an incredible inspiration and testament to talent and effort, for both photography professionals and admirers alike.
